Chasing Tales will be closing permanently at the end of the summer. Our last day to enjoy all we have to offer will be August 31, 2019. Thank you for all your support!
> Open Play
The facility is available for open play during all regular business hours.
Gym: The open gym area has a variety of toys such as a soft playground which allows children to climb and slide. Walkers, ball games, life size checkers, and varied playground equipment encourages physical movement and the development of gross motor skills.
Imagination Playroom: The role play area allows children to act out different scenarios in a household setting, grocery store, puppet theater, and dress up theater . There are also various construction materials for children to use their imaginations to create different structures. A puzzle and library corner also enables children to work on quieter skills such as spatial reasoning and early literacy skills.
Art Room: Our art room provides an assortment of materials children can use to explore and create. There is always a craft of the week set up with an example, directions, and all necessary materials for caregivers to work with the children to create a craft to take home. We also have painting easels, drawing materials, and playdough available for children to utilize.
> Story Time
Join us for STORY TIME
Monday-Friday at 11:15am
Beginning Monday, June 5th story time will take place at 11:00am.
Come on in and listen to a kid friendly story with a follow up interactive activity!
* free with admission
Story time will be held once daily on weekdays. Check our calendar for exact times. The activity is included in the admission fee. A staff member will read a story with the children modeling interaction to encourage vocabulary development, concept development, comprehension skills, and critical thinking. After the story children may choose to participate in a craft related to the story.
> Field Trips
Teachers or day care providers, are you looking for a fun place to take your students but still have an educational focus? Our focus will be on group games that promote cooperation and team building. We can create activities to reinforce the skills that you are teaching in the classroom; such as colors, shapes, number and letter recognition, math skills, or vocabulary development. Contact us and let’s design a field trip that will work for you.
> Participation Agreement
Parents/guardians must stay with and supervise their children. This is not a drop-off facility. A participation agreement must be signed before entry is permitted. Please click here to view (or download) the participation agreement.
All new children to the facility will need to have a participation agreement completed by a parent or guardian. We keep this agreement on file for future visits.
Please play nicely and avoid rough play. Our staff monitors the play areas, but we can’t see everything. If you notice any dangerous behavior, please alert our staff right away.
> Sock Policy
We are a socks only facility, year round. Both children and adults are required to wear socks at all times. Please feel free to bring in a pair of slippers for yourselves. This policy helps keep our floors cleaner for our littlest ones crawling around. We do sell socks for $1.25 per pair if you forgot them. We sell both children and adult sizes.
> Food Policy
We sell pre-packaged snacks and drinks. You are welcome to bring in your own food as well. All food and drink must be kept in our picnic area at all times, including sippy cups.
> Sick Policy
We reserve the right to refuse entry to obviously sick children. We want to try to keep all of our families healthy.
> Clean Up
We work hard to provide a clean, safe, and fun environment for your children. We promote teaching our children to be respectful toward one another and their environment in their language, behavior, and attitude.
We expect caregivers to be involved with their children when in the facility to help kids interact with others in an appropriate way as well as to encourage them to clean up after themselves when they are finished playing in the gym, art room, or playroom so other children may easily locate items and enjoy themselves.
For any toys that get put in your child’s mouth we ask that you place it in one of our “mouth buckets” so our staff will ensure it gets cleaned before being put back in the play areas.
> Payment Methods
We appreciate your loyalty, and as a small business we prefer cash transactions. We do accept all major credit cards but would appreciate a minimum of $5.00 to use your card. We do not accept personal checks.
> Refund Policy
All sales are final for both merchandise and services. No refunds or returns will be given for any sales. Birthday party deposits are non-refundable. If a birthday party is rescheduled the deposit will be transferred to the new date.
